The company had ordered modules for its EUR4.5 billion euro (£3.86bn) Project One ethane cracker, at the Port of Antwerp. “We are extremely relieved that the last two modules have arrived ‘home’ in Antwerp safely,” said John McNally, CEO of the Ineos project. Ineos described it as “one of the most impressive project cargoes” to arrive in the port in recent years. Work will now step up on the project, with around 2,500 workers on the ethane cracker site. While the Middle East conflict made it harder to press ahead with Project One, Ineos has benefited from reduced competition.
