US Chipmaker Marvell To Invest $250 Million In Bengaluru, HyderabadBENGALURU- US-based semiconductor company Marvell Technology on July 29 announced plans to invest $250 million in India over the next three years to expand its research and development capabilities, engineering talent and infrastructure, reinforcing the country’s growing role in the global semiconductor industry. The investment coincides with the company’s 20th anniversary of operations in India and includes plans to double its workforce over the next three years. Marvell Technology Vice President and India Country Manager Navin Bishnoi said the company’s India operations now play a critical role in developing infrastructure technologies used by leading hyperscalers and cloud service providers worldwide. “India has become a strategic hub of engineering excellence for Marvell, playing a critical role in advancing the infrastructure technologies that power the world’s leading hyperscalers and cloud providers,” Bishnoi said. The company established its India operations in Bengaluru in 2006 and has since grown the country into its second-largest research and development organization globally.
