The City of Brenham will begin a fire hydrant restoration project on Monday. The fire hydrant painting will be between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. and will last approximately six weeks, taking place along major corridors in Brenham. The city says 320 of the 1,040 fire hydrants in the distribution system will be painted. Residents and businesses can assist by keeping cars parked away from fire hydrants, moving all decorations at least 10 feet away, and trimming any vegetation at least three feet away in all directions. Anyone with questions can contact the City of Brenham at 979-337-7400.
