The Washington County Appraisal District Board of Directors on Tuesday set a date for a public hearing on the appraisal district’s 2027-28 reappraisal plan. The public hearing will be held on Friday, August 28th at 10 a.m. in the appraisal district boardroom. The board is required through property tax code to biennially develop a plan for the periodic reappraisal of all property in the appraisal district’s boundaries by September 15th of each even-numbered year. Also on Tuesday, the board approved a change to the appraisal district’s method of financing, shifting from invoicing budget allocations monthly to quarterly. Additionally, the board approved a budget transfer of $2,250 and an audit engagement letter with Seidel Schroeder for the 2025-26 audit.
