Spread the wordThe Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has shifted its 2026 elective congress by twenty four hours, with the exercise now scheduled to hold on Sunday, September 27, instead of Saturday, September 26, in Lafia, Nasarawa state. Blueprint recalls that the Super Eagles will face Madagascar in Uyo, Akwa-Ibom state. Following interactions with the Confederation of African Football, the date agreed for the match is Friday, 25th September 2026. Obviously, it will be highly impossible for a number of candidates in the election, who will be at the match, to make it to Lafia the following morning in time for the Elective Congress. A member of the Congress moved a motion in line with the proposal, and it was immediately seconded, putting a seal on the new date.
