JERSEY CITY, N.J.—ALVIN, a new adult streaming system designed specifically for television, has released a free Windows desktop demo that gives users an early look at the ALVIN interface and its “Type&Swipe” remote experience. The desktop version is intended strictly as a preview and is not as robust as the dedicated ALVIN device scheduled to begin shipping in September, a company rep said. The Type&Swipe remote app allows users to browse, type, scroll, select programming and control playback directly from their phones. Studios appearing in the current desktop demo are included for testing and demonstration purposes only and do not necessarily reflect the final lineup available on shipped devices. The free Windows demo is available now through ALVIN’s official website at ALVINtv.com.
