“The odds and ends of daily lives were churned and battered and often buried in sediment.” The program will feature Erica Shanks, Green Riverkeeper and watershed outreach coordinator for MountainTrue, a nonprofit organization that works to restore rivers and riverbanks through employee, volunteer and community efforts. “It’s tough to wrap my head around the idea of families having endured such a loss of place,” Shanks said. The program will be held at Lanier Library, 72 Chestnut St. Organizers said attendance has been steadily increasing, and seating is limited to about 50 people. Registration is encouraged at thelanierlibrary.org.
