Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...POLK COUNTY— The Polk County Board of Elections has released the candidate list for this fall’s municipal elections, with races set for offices in Columbus, Saluda and Tryon. Six candidates are competing for two seats on the Saluda Board of Commissioners. Polling places are Tryon Presbyterian Church for Tryon voters, and Isothermal Community College and Polk County High School for Columbus voters. New this year, Saluda voters will cast their ballots at Saluda Fire and Rescue. In addition to municipal contests, Polk County voters will elect county commissioners, the sheriff, and members of the state and federal legislatures.
