Lollapalooza will introduce a Motorola-sponsored ferris wheel when the festival kicks off on Thursday, July 30, at Grant Park in Chicago. The Razr Wheel, a free ferris wheel attraction sponsored by Motorola, will give guests a chance to escape crowds. Headliners for the 35th annual event include Lorde, Charli XCX, the Smashing Pumpkins, and John Summit. Low ticket sales forced organizers to cancel the 2004 tour despite expanding dates to two days per city. Farrell and the William Morris Agency redesigned the event into its current format as an annual Chicago festival in 2005 with Capital Sports Entertainment.
