MOULTRIE – Individuals interested in opening, expanding, or operating a Child Care Learning Center or Family Child Care Learning Home are invited to attend a free Childcare Summit on Tuesday, August 11, from 5 to 7 p.m., at the Colquitt County Extension Office, located at 350 Veterans Parkway North. Attendees will learn about child care licensing requirements, business planning and financing, funding opportunities, and available support services and community resources. They will also learn about local, state, and university programs designed to help child care providers succeed. The event is designed for aspiring child care entrepreneurs, current providers looking to grow their business, and anyone interested in learning more about opening a licensed child care program. “Access to quality child care is essential for children, families, and the local workforce,” organizers said.
