The deaths of two men, found days apart along the same stretch of the Connecticut River in Massachusetts, are under investigation, the Northwest District Attorney's Office said. The locations where the men were found, Smead Island and the Rock Dam, are less than a mile apart. In a separate news release on Tuesday, the district attorney's office said a man was found that afternoon along the shoreline in the area of Smead Island, between Turners Falls and Greenfield. The medical examiner's office was working to determine the cause of his death, prosecutors said.
