The road was closed earlier today (Image: Kim Jennings)A spokesman for Essex and Suffolk Water said they have carried out a "temporary fix" to the burst, so customers are not left without a supply of water. However, work is expected to continue into tomorrow, with the possibility that High Road will remain closed. Essex and Suffolk Water provided bottled water to affected customers as a show of gratitude. Buses are now running via Hazelmere, Pitsea Hall Lane, and Broadway Link, and will not serve the Station Lane stop in either direction.
