Alice da Silva Aguiar, nine, Bebe King, six, and Elsie Dot Stancombe, seven, were tragically killed in the attack on July 29, 2024. In a tribute shared on social media, the force said: "Today we pause to remember the light, the kindness, and the joy that Alice, Bebe and Elsie brought into this world." Police said flags would be lowered across Merseyside at 3pm in solidarity with the wider community. The tribute ends: "Alice, Bebe and Elsie – forever in our hearts." He was recently transferred from prison to Broadmoor psychiatric hospital following a clinical assessment under the Mental Health Act.
