The Trigg County Veterans Memorial Park Committee received quality news — and a big check from the Southwestern Kentucky Military Affairs Committee — Tuesday night, assuring further perpetuity in a growing project west of Cadiz. That pride in the military, Lane added, is apparent in Cadiz and Trigg County. Trigg County Judge-Executive Stan Humphries, one of many minds behind the developing Veterans Memorial, expressed gratitude for a relationship that only continues to deepen. Today, hundreds of living and long-gone veterans of every national and international conflict, as well as their ancestors, call Trigg County home. Humphries, and others, have repeatedly stated that this community has long needed a sufficient Veterans Memorial recognizing the service and sacrifice of so many.
