Detective Senior Sergeant Rebecca Kirk, Auckland City CIB, says the offender was holding a firearm as he demanded the victim’s vehicle, a black Volkswagen. The offender then fled in the stolen vehicle. “With the assistance of Eagle, the stolen vehicle and the offender were located in Beachlands,” Detective Senior Sergeant Kirk says. A subsequent search of the vehicle located a firearm.
