* I played bass guitar in a few bands way back in the day and Stanley Clarke was one of my idols, even though I could never play even close to his caliber. He was up in the stars, I was barely crawling on terra firma. Anyway, Ray Gomez played a killer lead guitar on Clarke’s break-through album “School Days” and Ray passed away this week. RIP…This is an Illinois open thread.
