by George McDonaldFrom the West Alabama Newsroom–The start of the new school year is now less than two weeks away and the Selma-Dallas County community is rallying together to make sure area students are ready to have a productive school year. The 2nd Annual Dallas Co. City-Wide Back to School Bash — is Saturday Aug. 1st — at the Riverfront Amphitheater in Selma from 9 am to 1 pm. “It’s a way to make sure that our students have what they need going back to school,” said Hunter. Over 40 community organizations and businesses have rallied together to help students and families — get ready for the upcoming school year. Students in the Selma City and Dallas County School Districts — head back to school — on August 10th.
