The appointment of new director Craig Evans to KiwiRail Holdings Ltd will bring strong real world freight experience to the Board table, complementing the range of skills already there, Chair Suzanne Tindal says. Mr Evans joins the Board on 3 August 2026. Ms Tindal says Mr Evans’ appointment by the shareholding Ministers reflects the value of that extensive experience in the New Zealand transport sector. “That experience will help guide KiwiRail in optimising supply chains and bringing a customer-centric view to its operations.” Ms Tindal says she and her fellow Board members looked forward to working with Mr Evans.
