Animation Nation has launched its third annual ANSEA Awards, with submissions now open via FilmFreeway for original animation works from aspiring and professional animators across all ASEAN member states. “We are incredibly proud to see the ANSEA Awards enter its third year as a vital bridge for Southeast Asian animation talent,” said Michael Lim, Festival Director at Animation Nation. Shortlisted finalists will be announced ahead of the festival, culminating in a dedicated ANSEA Awards finalist screening and announcement during Animation Nation 2026, which runs November 20-29. Started in 2004 by the Singapore Film Society by Dave Chua, Animation Nation is the longest-running and largest international animation festival in Singapore. The Singapore Film Society is Singapore’s longest-established organization dedicated to promoting the appreciation of cinema.
