Simon Flux, of St Swithins Crescent, Bouldnor, appeared at the Isle of Wight Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, July 28. On December 27 last year, a Southern Vectis driver called police after a man kicked out a rear top-deck window and jumped out. Liz Miller, prosecuting, said the man, who fled the scene to meet a friend before coming back, was identified as Flux by the driver. Flux said he kicked out the window because he feared three cars were following him, but could not explain why. Magistrates ordered Flux to pay Southern Vectis £916 compensation.
