Transpersonal Psychology: The Field That Died and Won

The flagship journals in transpersonal psychology arguably have a fraction of the readership they once did, and few doctoral programs still bear the name. So, what I am consistently seeing in academic journals is that the findings are surviving, but the name “transpersonal psychology” is not. It is my professional opinion that transpersonal psychology is one of the clearer examples in recent psychological history of a field succeeding by disappearing.
