On Wednesday, the Hermantown Police Department announced that one of their newest canines, K-9 Kylo, has received the donation of a ballistic vest. RELATED STORIES: The importance of body armor for law enforcement K-9’sThe vest was donated by Brady’s K9 Fund, which is a non-profit organization that was founded by eight-year-old Brady, with the mission to make sure law enforcement K-9’s have the same protections as their human partners. Since 2018, Brady’s K9 Fund has raised over $1,6 million and vested 1,806 K-9’s across the United States. K-9 Kylo began his training with Officer Lucas Hedin in August of 2025 and graduated in November of 2025.
