As temperatures top 45C (113F) in some parts of Andalucia and wildfires spread across both Spain and France, holidaymakers are being warned they may lose money spent on holidays if they cancel. The FCDO is not currently warning people to avoid Spain and France. This comes under the Package Travel Regulations (2018). This is a key advantage of booking a package holiday as opposed to buying flights and accommodation separately. That said, most travel insurance does offer cover for expenses resulting from a move caused by a disruption as well as damage to possessions.
