Philip Delaney, of no fixed abode, appeared at Wrexham Magistrates' Court on Tuesday afternoon via video link from HMP Berwyn. The 38-year-old admitted that on June 22 this year, he stole frozen food worth £30 from Farmfoods in Wrexham. Prosecutor Joe Stephenson told the court that on the day in question, Delaney entered the store three times. Mr Stephenson said Delaney had 18 previous theft and related matters on his record, which he submitted aggravated the offence. Laura MacMillan, defending, told the court her client had been recalled to jail until August 10, which was why he appeared in court via the video link.
