Columbus man sentenced to 20 years for fatal, drug-fueled crash in 2025FRANKLIN, Ind. (WISH) — A Columbus man has been sentenced to 20 years in prison for a high-speed drug-fueled crash that killed a 29-year-old man in 2025, the Johnson County prosecutor said in a news release issued Wednesday. The crash happened July 6, 2025, at the intersection of North Morton Street and Commerce Drive in Franklin. Staker ran a red light and struck a vehicle driven by Braden Christopher Robertson, who was lawfully turning west onto Commerce Drive. Also in the news release, Johnson County Prosecutor Lance Hamner commended the Franklin Police Department for its investigation and the evidence assembled for the case.
