Indianapolis man sentenced to 43 years for beating ex-girlfriendINDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — An Indianapolis man was sentenced to 43 years in prison after he beat his ex-girlfriend and stole her car, the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office said Wednesday.
Dennis Patterson, 45, was convicted of criminal confinement, robbery resulting in bodily injury, and domestic battery resulting in serious bodily injury, among other charges.
The affidavit says the ex-girlfriend was choked “possibly on more than one occasion” while they were in her car.
She told detectives that Patterson threatened to kill her and told her he would go to jail because of her.
Patterson was found guilty June 2 and was sentenced Friday.
