Aiming to bridge the gap between training and racing, New Balance has unveiled their all-new SuperComp Rebel, a performance trainer that combines fan-favourite elements of their SC Elite racing shoe, SC trainer and and Rebel trainer. The SC Rebel features a full-length Infinion foam midsole paired with a precision-engineered propulsion plate to deliver speed and responsiveness while remaining durable enough for regular training. The foam platform replaces the FuelCell midsole used in previous versions of the SC Elite, SC Trainer and Rebel. Compared to the carbon-plated SC Elite, the SC Rebel features a less aggressive, carbon-infused Pebax plate. Unlike the traditional sandwiching of the plate in the middle of the foam, the SC Rebel’s Pebax plate is bottom-mounted.
