The 133rd edition of Hamilton’s Around the Bay Road Race will take place one week later than usual in 2027, with organizers also changing one of the event’s race distances. The new 16K, also billed as a 10-miler, will replace the previous 15K race, and race organizers have said the change is intended to improve the experience at the start. Online registration is expected to open in mid-September 2026; CN, a longtime event partner, will now present the signature 30K race. Older than BostonAround the Bay was first held on Christmas Day in 1894, three years before the inaugural Boston Marathon. More information about the 2027 event can be found on the official Around the Bay Road Race website, here.
