The family of a Thai tourist who went missing in Georgia appear not to have been informed of his death for over two weeks, despite his body being found the following day.
However, OC Media now understands that his body was found by Georgian authorities on 14 July in a hotel room.
News of Hlun’s death only emerged on 29 July when Georgian media outlets reported on the case citing the Interior Ministry.
The agency also confirmed the information to OC Media, saying that the investigation is ongoing under the article of incitement to suicide.
OC Media contacted both Georgia’s Foreign Ministry and the Thai Embassy in Ankara.
