A suburban company is recalling more than 12,000 pounds of bacon across multiple states with the Food Safety and Inspection Service saying it is "concerned that some product may be in consumers' refrigerators and freezers." The recall involves about 12,036 pounds of not-ready-to-eat smoked bacon products from Maple Leaf Foods, Inc., located in Lisle. 1" printed on the side of the package, and health certificate "2026-S732971612" on "master case boxes." The bacon was also distributed to Grocery Outlet distributors and retailers in Idaho, Oregon and Washington, though officials said no illnesses or injuries have been reported. Consumers who have purchased these products are urged not to consume them," the agency wrote in a release.
