(ABC 6 News) — Hayfield Community Schools will put a referendum on the ballot in November after approving a resolution to revoke its current referendum and seek a new one at its July school board meeting.
Hayfield Superintendent Gregg Slaathaug confirmed the new referendum request to ABC 6 News.
The existing referendum is a 10-year referendum that is in its fifth year.
If passed, the new referendum would create $1250 per student, coming out to about 4.3% of the district’s annual budget.
Slaathaug said the referendum would go towards the district’s General Obligation Fund.
