(ABC 6 News) – Several Rochester mayor candidates met at the Salvation Army on Wednesday to discuss their plans to combat homelessness in the Med City if elected in November.
One of those is Jennifer “Red” Carroll, who was not only moderating Wednesday’s town hall, but has battled homelessness before in Rochester.
The things that we are dealing with can be brought to surface and talked about, and that there are new candidates coming in that can change things,” said Carroll.
Carroll and the mayoral candidates discussed several topics, including how to protect the homeless population against predatory landlords.
Safety of everyone in the Med City was another issue brought to the table.
