TRIBUTES have been paid following the passing of Mary Doherty, Carrigart. Mary, née Conroy, from Belmullet in Mayo, died at home in Carrigart on Tuesday. Donegal TD Pádraig Mac Lochlainn said: “Mary was held in great affection across the island and will be remembered for her warmth, kindness and steadfast commitment. Pearse Doherty TD said: “I am deeply saddened by the passing of our dear friend and comrade Mary Doherty. Mary was the beloved wife of Pat Doherty and much loved mother of Maria (Paul), Rosaleen, Kathleen Anne (Dominic), Danny (Helen) and Michael (Deirdre); adored sister of Kathleen Ferry (Neil), sister-in-law, Kathleen Conroy.
