Aron will join three-time 12 Hour winner Luca Stolz in the #80 Winward Racing Mercedes-AMG GT3 for the Nurburgring Langstrecken-Serie event, ADAC Ruhr-Pokal-Rennen.
It will be the 28-year-old’s first race since suffering two fractured vertebrae after colliding with a stationary car while leading at Bathurst.
Aron returned to the cockpit in May at the Mercedes-AMG test centre in Germany, but the NLS7 event will mark his racing return.
“I’m incredibly happy to be making my racing comeback at NLS7, around five months after my accident in Bathurst,” Aron said.
Aron and Stolz will pilot one of four Mercedes-AMGs competing in NLS7, the longest race of the season at six hours in duration.
