North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said crews from Sherburn, two from Scarborough, Malton, and Robin Hood's Bay were called to a fire on a farm in Bridlington Road, Hunmanby, Filey at 4.20pm on Tuesday. National Rail added that no trains were able to run between Bridlington and Scarborough as the fire had blocked the line. Firefighters are working alongside local farmers using water bowsers to contain the fire and prevent it from spreading further. This morning (Wednesday, July 29) North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said firefighters remained at the scene into Tuesday evening to dampen down hotspots. The scene will be visited again by the service this morning.
