Narberth Town Council’s mayor, Cllr Elizabeth Rogers, said: "Narberth Town Council is immensely proud to have played its part in sustaining our library over the past ten years. The partnership has enabled the library to thrive, with the county council providing furniture, equipment, stock, and six hours of paid staff time each week, while the Friends of Narberth Library supply volunteers to extend opening hours. The town council covers premises costs including maintenance, utilities, and rates. Marc Tierney, county councillor and chairman of the Friends of Narberth Library, said: "The community in Narberth has always been a great supporter of their library and we thank them for their response to a call for volunteers and subsequent hard work and ongoing commitment." Sixteen volunteers now support the library, including six who have served since the partnership began.
