The former Arsenal and England captain has parted with his eight‑bedroom home near Cirencester, which he bought in 2002 with his wife, Poppy Teacher.

Ms Teacher is beginning a master’s degree in early modern history, and the couple have chosen to relocate to the capital to make that possible.
"I told Tony I wanted to do early modern history and he said, ‘How do you monetise that?
Mr Adams said they have already left the Cotswolds and are in temporary accommodation while they hunt for a new base.
