Peren, July 28 (MEXN): The Office of the District Election Officer (DEO), Peren, has informed that the Election Commission of India (ECI) will undertake the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of Electoral Rolls in the district as part of the nationwide revision programme. The Draft Electoral Roll will be published on September 20, while the period for filing claims and objections will continue until October 20. After disposal of claims and objections, the Final Electoral Roll will be published on November 22. Recognised political parties have also been requested to appoint Booth Level Agents (BLAs) for every polling station to facilitate a transparent and smooth revision process. The Special Intensive Revision is aimed at maintaining a clean, accurate and inclusive Electoral Roll, thereby strengthening the integrity of the electoral process through active public participation.
