The DPDB of Niuland, chaired by Deputy Commissioner and Vice-Chairman T L Kiusumong Tikhir, on July 28. The Board further insisted that a detailed utilisation report and work update be placed before the next DPDB meeting. On road connectivity, PWD (R&B), Dimapur Division, presented a comprehensive overview of roads under Niuland district, current connectivity status of other district and village roads, and challenges posed by soil erosion. The Chairman of Niuland Town Council drew attention to the poor condition of the road stretch from 4th Mile, New Showuba to Niuland. He informed the Board that the department is currently focussing on Coffee Development, Rubber Development, Arecanut Development, and Springshed Management as key developmental activities.
