Local WKU men’s golfers chase same trophy at 107th Kentucky OpenShare This StoryemailPrintLinkedinRedditBOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Tuesday, the 107th Kentucky Open presented by South Central Bank began at Indian Hills Country Club right here in town. 24 golfers from Bowling Green have been playing on familiar grounds, and three WKU men’s golfers, also locals to the country club, have been battling to make the final round on Thursday. I think it’s more fun because it’s local and I play here a lot, and just the fact that it’s here close to my hometown is just nice,” WKU freshman Barton Rutledge said. The end goal is simple for each golfer: to have a moment lifting the trophy as the sole winner. Rutledge is set to start at 8 a.m., Richey at approximately 8:22 a.m., and Blankenship around 9:06 a.m.
