The troops also rescued his wife, two children and 25 other kidnapped victims during a foiled abduction attempt in Zamfara. It stated that the troops successfully rescued the 29 victims after engaging the kidnappers. It added that one suspected terrorist was arrested and was currently in military custody for further investigation. It said the troops rescued four victims with gunshot wounds and evacuated them to hospital for medical treatment.
