Ellenfoot Footbridge in Maryport has reopened, following a refurbishment which took place last week. Maryport Marina & Harbourside Caravan Site, a limited company, has carried out a deep clean of the footbridge and installed new lighting. A spokesperson for the firm said: "These improvements have given the footbridge a fresh new appearance, making it brighter, safer and more welcoming for everyone using it." The harbour firm noted that the footbridge is well used by visitors to the harbour, marina and pedestrians enjoying walks along the waterfront. They said: "We'd like to thank everyone for their patience while these works were carried out, and we hope you enjoy the refreshed footbridge!"
