Cumbria Police received several 999 calls about the anti-social behaviour at assisted living facilities in New Harraby over the past week. Staff of the assisted-living facilities told police that after gaining access, youths "have ran amok and caused chaos." Behaviour, which a spokesperson for Carlisle Neighbourhood Policing Team said "totally unacceptable and will not be tolerated." Police said that enquiries are ongoing to identify those involved and asked that parents have conversations with their children on appropriate behaviour within their local community. The spokesperson said: "We understand that not all children are involved in incidents such as the above, however the more awareness that children/youths have on acceptable behaviour the better.
