Until now, APSPDCL consumers could pay electricity bills through the utility's official website, mobile application, Dynamic QR Code and the Mana Mitra WhatsApp Governance platform. Consumers can now pay their bill within seconds through their preferred UPI application without having to access APSPDCL digital platforms. Shivashankar said the company has already initiated awareness programmes to encourage online bill payments. He expressed confidence that the availability of direct bill payments through UPI applications would significantly increase the adoption of digital payments. The digital payments are to cover service areas of Nellore, Tirupati, Chittoor, Annamayya, YSR Kadapa, Kurnool, Nandyal, Anantapur, and Sri Sathya Sai districts.
