Mangaluru Police Destroy Drugs Worth ₹82 Crore

Mangaluru City Police destroyed narcotic substances worth nearly Rs 82 crore on Wednesday as part of the disposal of contraband seized in cases registered over the past few years.
The destroyed stock included 450 kg of ganja, 43.26 kg of MDMA, 80 grams of charas, 880 grams of hydro weed and 1.2 kg of bhang.
They were seized in 59 NDPS cases registered across 16 police stations under the Mangaluru City Police Commissionerate.
The narcotics were disposed of using scientific and environment-friendly methods in the presence of the Drug Disposal Committee.
Mangaluru City Police Commissioner Sudheer Kumar Reddy oversaw the process.
