94,083 Farmers Found Ineligible For Maharashtra Loan Waiver Scheme

MUMBAI: As many as 94,083 farmers have been found ineligible for Maharashtra's flagship Punyashlok Ahilyadevi Holkar Shetkari Karjmukti Yojana (PAHSKY)-2026, aimed at providing farm loan waiver benefits to eligible cultivators across the state.
The data was shared with the Maharashtra Cooperation Department by the Income Tax Department, which has verified the details of around 32 lakh farmers.
Of these, approximately 6 lakh farmers have been verified, while the verification process for the remaining beneficiaries is underway.
“Recently, we have received a list of 94,083 farmers who have been flagged by the Income-tax department for not being eligible for the benefits of farm loan waiver scheme.
It will help the state government to save around Rs Rs 1,881.66 crore from its treasury,” the senior official said.
