Tirupati: Andhra Pradesh government is planning to develop Kosala Nagaram Industrial Park in Chittoor district as a major manufacturing hub to attract investments and create employment. In this regard, Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu has directed the AP Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (APIIC) to acquire an additional 5,000 acres in the Kosala Nagaram area for future industrial expansion. As the work involves significant expenditure, the government is considering private participation in developing the industrial park and creating basic infrastructure. According to APIIC, automobile manufacturers from Ambattur in Tamil Nadu have expressed interest in establishing units at the Kosala Nagaram park. Officials believe Kosala Nagaram has the potential to emerge as another major industrial and investment destination in the state.
