Adilabad:The heavy rain on Wednesday brought a sigh of relief to farmers and gave them confidence that their standing crops of cotton, redgram and soya would survive. The Sripada Yellampalli irrigation project has received 50000 cusecs of floodwater from streams and rivulets upstream following the heavy rain in Nirmal district. Road connectivity is affected in a few villages since lower-level bridges are overflowing with floodwater following the heavy rain in Lingapur and Sirpur ( U) mandals of the Komaram Bheem Asifabad district. The gram panchayat in Gundi has alerted the villagers following the heavy rain, and Gundi Vagu was flooded. Irrigation projects are receiving rainwater following the heavy rain upstream.
