Vijayawada:Education Minister Nara Lokesh will lay the foundation on Thursday for Tata Power Renewable Energy Ltd's Rs 5,350-crore clean energy projects in Pattikonda, marking another step in the government's drive to transform Rayalaseema into a renewable energy hub. The projects, with a combined capacity of 800mw, are part of the alliance government's clean energy roadmap and the AP integrated clean energy policy-2024. Over the past two years, Lokesh has been spearheading efforts to attract major renewable energy investments to Rayalaseema. The TPREL project comprises a 400mw wind power plant at Kanekal in Anantapur district and a 400mw solar power project at Pattikonda in Kurnool district. The Kanekal wind project will be developed by Tata Power Renewable Energy with technical support from Suzlon.
