A tiger was found dead in the Nagalooti range of the Atmakur forest division in Nandyal district, forest officials said. Officials noted that the carcass was found in a decomposed state, indicating that the animal had been dead for several days before being spotted. However, the forest department is yet to issue an official statement on the incident. A senior official from the Srisailam forest range said that the exact cause of death is being investigated. Preliminary assessments suggest that the tiger may have died due to illness, though officials said a clear cause would be determined only after further examination.
